Tulpehocken Train Station Garden

First, a shout-out to the dedicated volunteers who have been giving the baby fig tree water twice a week: Ann, Joanne, Molly, Nathan, Galen, Bob, and Virginia! And (once more) to Ralph and Julie for donating the tree in the first place. It looks super healthy!

Meanwhile, the pear trees have edible pears on them this year! The ones closer to the station building are little Seckel pears. The ones closer to the path are supposedly called Moonglow and are similar to (Bartlett family), but to me they seem a bit more like Bosc pears. The Seckels are good now; the Moonglows seem to need a little more time, but they should ripen on the countertop. And then next month there should be a few paw paws to pick, though not nearly as many as last year. And check out the wildflower beds. There are even wildflowers up at the top of the hill! Anastasia has been doing her magic.
