The Spring Cleanup/Mulching day at the Tulpehocken Station Garden was cancelled and is being replaced with a few weeding sessions with very small groups spread out. As we will probably not mulch until the constraints are lifted, I will be scheduling more of these short sessions. If you are willing to participate in any of these, please email Marjorie Russell.
Gardening Spring 2020
But this is a perfect time to stop at the garden if you’re on a walk around the neighborhood. The redbuds and native crabapples are in full bloom, and the little Tulpehocken Apple is sporting beautiful pink and white buds. The flower bed the native perennials are bursting out of the earth, and a bit further up the hill you can see the strange brownish red flower buds on the two leafless pawpaw trees.
